Today, Alexander McQueen sent word via email that it will go it alone, offering 46 items from the AW 2014 collection on its official site. Whether or not it's an intentional move to circumvent luxury pre-sale site Moda Operandi is unknown, but it does pose a possible dilemma for the luxury online retailer: If McQueen successfully adopts an in-house pre-sale model, what's to stop other brands from jumping ship and doing the same? Feel free to pick up a few print capes, Heroine pony skin bags, boots and with velvet bow trimmings, and dresses in ivy jaquards while you mull it over. —Lauren Berger
