Radical self-love promoter Gala Darling would appreciate you keeping it real. Inspired by Ann Friedman's article, "Why Not Admit We Didn't Wake Up Like This?," Darling is the latest anti-perfection crusader to shake her fist at the endless stream of elaborately staged Instagram vignettes and easy-does-it lifestyle advice (Blake just can't seem to catch a break).
"Having the courage to admit that you have ambition, that you work hard, and that you live your life strategically, is fantastic," she writes. "Pretending otherwise is disempowering, not just for you, but for everyone else, too." After all, if Kim Kardashian can willingly chronicle her Photoshopped rear and Botox-filled adventures, surely you can quit pretending you throw dinner parties for a living.—Lauren Berger
