Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Racked National is seeking two academic editorial interns for the fall semester. Responsibilities include writing, researching, and assisting with various editorial projects at our Bryant Park office for no more than 20 hours a week.
Additionally, you will have the opportunity to pitch your own recurring feature on the site. Over the course of the internship, you'll conceive of feature topics, present them to the editors, and execute the ones they feel are promising. If the feature does well it will run as a recurring post. (If not, it's back to the drawing board). Anyone who's able to pioneer a successful recurring feature will have the option to continue it as a freelancer.
To apply, please email national@racked.com with the subject line "Racked National Internship Application" and a brief paragraph about yourself. Prospective candidates will be asked to submit a short writing sample. Applicants must be able to receive college credit for this internship.
