Allure, the go-to magazine for beauty news and product recommendations, is getting into the bookings biz. The magazine is partnering with the mobile app BeautyBooked, and they're both about to make nailing down a date and time for that bikini wax much easier. Readers can now book salon appointments directly on the site, 24 hours a day. (As a trade off, the new version of the BeautyBooked app will include Allure reviews.)
Features will include "book now" buttons throughout the salon directory and alongside editorial reviews. The service is launching in Dallas, Houston, LA, Miami, and New York first, with the rest of the country to follow.
