Millennial consumers may be demanding and ignorant, but at least they've got solid grocery shopping habits. According to a report by the Food Marketing Institute, millennials are ditching shopping lists and stock items every week in favor of more receipe-driven buys that change from week to week. Millennials are also more likely to buy organic and locally-grown food when compared to older generations. Not surprisingly given the buy-local trend, Walmart, Target, and other big box supercenters are losing out to traditional grocery stores among the younger generations.
