Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Mathew Knowles, father to Beyoncé, grandfather to Blue Ivy, took the occasion of a visit to The Roula and Ryan Show on 104.1 KRBE to dispel all Beyoncé-Jay Z divorce rumors. Knowles refers to them as a 'jedi mind trick' staged by the couple for ticket sales.

More importantly, he discusses the current state of Destiny's Child, which he believes to be good health. He says, "I am still the manager of Destiny's Child." When you see them on TV together that's Mathew's doing. He even alludes to big projects in the group's future, "I don't know, it might be another Destiny's Child album coming. There might be this tour that makes history." Beyoncé on the matter: "DAAAD STOP."
