Now that Cara Delevingne has landed a campaign for every major brand known, it's time for her to solidify her place in the film world. John Green, author of The Fault In Our Stars and lord of the teens, announced via Twitter that Cara will be playing Margo in the adaptation of his novel Paper Towns.
Green reassured fans that the model's acting abilities are up to his standards, tweeting:
Cara Delevigne's audition blew everyone away (including me!) and she understands Margo profoundly. I am so excited!— John Green (@realjohngreen) September 16, 2014
In Paper Towns, Quentin Jacobsen is invited by his longtime crush and neighbor Margo Roth Spiegelman to a revenge crusade, while wearing a ninja costume. Margo leads Quentin on a road of seemingly disconnected clues, where he learns more and more about her. Time will tell if Delevingne has the acting chops to support a whole movie, but something about her as a suburban ninja feels very right.
