In the near future, the TSA may allow you to bring big bottles of shampoo and conditioner right onto the airplane. According to the Chicago Tribune, TSA executive John Pistole has confirmed that the 3.4 ounces or less liquids rule is not a permanent security measure and will be relaxed in the future, at least among TSA PreCheck customers.
"When the restriction is eased, it will likely start with travelers who have undergone background checks before they were approved to participate in the TSA PreCheck security program," Pistole told the Tribune. The PreCheck program allows certain approved fliers to skip security lines in participating airports.
