Kate Spade's New Travel Book Will Inspire Serious Wanderlust

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

No one travels as glamorously as the Kate Spade New York girl, and the brand is out to prove it with a new hardcover book, Kate Spade New York: Places To Go, People to See. In stores and available online on October 14, the book is a compilation of stunning photographs from destinations like Paris, Tokyo, Marrakech, NYC, and the Amalfi Coast. This being Kate Spade, it's also peppered with fanciful words of wisdom, like "she sometimes decides weekends start on Thursdays." Yes, please.

Kate Spade New York's blog has been celebrating travel all year, dubbing 2014 the year of "traveling colorfully." Deborah Lloyd, president and chief creative officer of Kate Spade New York, explains travel's influence on the brand in a press release, saying: "Travel is a constant source of inspiration for me. Kate Spade New York: Places To Go, People To See is an illustrated compilation of the treasures that have formed the backbone of our collections over the years."
