Comedian Joan Rivers' work ethic was legendary. And all the time she put into selling her QVC line of glitzy jewelry, clothing and beauty products paid off. Fortune reports that Rivers made over $1 billion in sales with QVC during the 24 years she worked with the home shopping channel. Rivers, who passed away yesterday at the age of 81, appeared on QVC all the time. In fact, Fortune notes, she was booked for QVC later this month on September 12 and September 26.
And the sales weren't slowing down for the Joan Rivers Classics Collection. Last year alone, Rivers sold 1.2 million products on QVC. Her biggest sales day was on November 19, 2012, when she sold over 88,000 Joan Rivers Lavish Luxury Sequin Scarves.
