Exciting developments in the world of getting dressed for the office as a professional woman. Theory, everyone's go-to for a standard boss-lady suit, is trying to reinvent workwear standards for next season. The brand is showing significantly loosened-up suiting, with an entirely new look under brand alum Lisa Kulson. Kulson replaced former artistic director Olivier Theyskens, who exited the brand back in June.
It's not all the same old black (though they'll have that, too): The new suits come in a palette of baby pink, white, and khaki. The look is relaxed and extra-slouchy, with wide-leg, low-rise pants paired with flats. It's kind of like "taking my meetings in Italy over Google Hangout." Blazers, trench vests, and minimalist blouses are generously cut, allowing one to dress in head-to-toe tonal looks. More prim options include midi-length skirts and dresses with high necklines, cinched with same-color belts.
