ModCloth's new CEO is an Urban Outfitters vet. According to a press release, ModCloth co-founder Eric Koger has handed the CEO position to Matthew A. Kaness, who most recently served as Urban Outfitters' chief strategy officer.
"ModCloth now touches the lives of millions of women around the world, and it's the right time to bring in the leadership of an experienced retail executive to help scale operations and to help our beloved brand reach its full potential," Koger said in the press release. Koger is sticking with the brand, and co-founder Susan Koger remains as chief creative officer. ModCloth laid off staff last fall, and is working to expand distribution for the brand.
