Macy's is shutting down 14 stores across the country in early spring, the Huffington Post reports. As part of a restructuring plan to focus more on online sales and omnichannel retailing, the department store chain will shutter locations in Ohio, Tennessee, North Carolina, New York, New Jersey, Florida, California, Arizona and Michigan.

The closures affect less than 2% of Macy's 790 stores, but will eliminate more than 1,300 jobs. Final clearance sales begin at the below stores on January 12th. But even though 14 outposts are closing, Macy's is also opening three new stores this year in Miami, Puerto Rico, and Hawaii.
