Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

COS's spring campaign images have landed, lending a sneak peek to the brand's next in-store magazine, which will be available February 20th at their New York and LA stores. Model Julia Bergshoeff fronts the images, which were shot at a photovoltaic power plant in Barcelona. Why? Because the collection was inspired by words like "electricity" and "laboratory." In clothing language, this translates to crisp shirt dresses with transparent overlays, cape backs, and flatforms, all in a palette of black and white. The end result is well-ventilated and architectural, ideal for the art director battling urban humidity.
