PurseBlog reports that by the end of January, virtually all Hermès products will increase in price by 5% to 10%. It's an annual tradition for the brand to raise prices around this time of year—Hermès items rose 6% to 10% last year and 7% to 10% the year before that, but it still doesn't make a 10% increase on a $20,000 bag any less shocking. The brand reportedly keeps increasing prices in order to maintain that terribly important air of exclusivity.
