Demi Lovato's modeling career begins now in earnest: Wilhelmina Models just announced that it's now representing the pop singer. She joins celeb model talent on Wilhelmina's roster like Ruby Rose, RJ Mitte, and Nick Jonas, and commercial models like Robin Lawley and Soo Joo Park.
According to a press release, Wilhelmina is going try to hook Lovato up with modeling and endorsement deals in the "fashion and beauty arenas," as well as editorial features. Hey, she's got a September Cosmopolitan cover on her resume already.
"I'm thrilled to sign my first major modeling contract with Wilhelmina," Lovato said in a press release. "I’m very excited to see where our work together will go creatively as I enter the next phase of my career and continue to develop as an artist."
This news coincides the release of Lovato's new album, Confident, and body positivity and confidence have been huge touchstones for the singer this year. That's not lost on Wilhelmina. The agency's Senior Model Manager Jose Covarrubias said in the statement: "We are very excited to have such a phenomenal musical star with an editorially beautiful image on board with us here at Wilhelmina. Not only is Demi immensely talented, she also has confidence, sophistication, maturity and body positivity that we will use to build her presence in the world of fashion."
