Zooey Deschanel's daughter has resided on this planet for a whole three months before her name finally slipped. Along with husband Jacob Pechenik, Zooey walked the red carpet at the New York City premiere of Rock the Kasbah. When asked about their daughter's name at the event, the newly married couple answered together. Deschanel supplied People with the first portion, "It's Elsie," and Pechenik finished her thought with a middle name, "Otter."

The New Girl's Jessica Day clarified that the infant's second name is in fact "like the animal," her husband making things even more clear with, "Sea otters!" The two are only been married since June, but they're already finishing each other's sentences.

Deschanel further explained the name choice, this time without Pechenik. She told Today, "I love otters. My husband really loves otters. She better love otters." She continued:

We just really like the name Elsie, and then we both love otters. They're really sweet, they're also smart, they use tools to keep their favorite tools, they hold hands while they sleep. There's so many amazing things about otters. They're wonderful animals.

One thing is for sure, there's no rush locking up that Gmail username.
