Not that anyone who uses the internet semi-regularly needs reminding, but 2015 was the year of the "squad." Before influential sisters, cousins, and all-around pals banded together and identified themselves as #squads on various social media platforms, humans bundled together with similar interests simply called themselves friends. The term "squad" was reserved for a group of soldiers, often coming after the words "firing" and "bomb." Yeesh.
To honor the reinvention and quick rise of the expression, we bring you a Halloween costume roundup exclusively for those who have achieved #squadgoals. Don't fear. Friend groups don't have to be Taylor Swift's model-filled bunch to dress up as a creative cluster this Halloween. Squads come in all sizes, shapes, and species, so gear up to party as your mom's bridge group, a fruit plate, or thirteen other easy costumes.
