Most of Rihanna's music videos already look like the requisite "sexy scene" of a big-budget action movie, so it makes sense that at some point she'd be cast in a real one. That time is now. Variety reports that the singer has just landed a role in the forthcoming adaptation of the sci-fi graphic novel Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets.
She'll join the cast alongside another famous multi-hyphenate, Cara Delevingne, who plays the titular character's sidekick, Laureline. The plot will take place in the 28th century, "when humanity discovered time travel." (Sure!)
While it's not her first silver screen appearance (she had a few lines in Battleship and leant her voice to the animated movie Home), it'll definitely be the buzziest. Director Luc Basson shared on Instagram that she's got "a big part," which presumably means her costumes will be bad ass.
