Sweatpants are a contentious topic in the fashion world. It was Chanel and Fendi creative director, Karl Lagerfeld, who famously said, "Sweatpants are a sign of defeat. You lost control of your life so you bought some sweatpants." The irony is that Lagerfeld went on to design some pink sweatpants that look like a moth attacked them for Chanel's fall 2014 collection.
Contention notwithstanding, supermodel and reality television personality, Kendall Jenner, sported some knitted sweatpants at LAX airport from a French designer that isn't Chanel. Celebrity airport fashion is closely watched; if they slip for one second, the world has a breakdown because said celebrity has supposedly lost their way. Sweatpants are normally a sign of slipping, but Jenner ensured they were luxe enough to calm everyone down.
The wool and silk blend sweatpants from Chloé are listed on fashion retailer, mytheresa.com for a hefty $995. She paired the pants with an off-the-shoulder long sleeve T-shirt and a black Givenchy Lucrezia bag.
