Matthew McConaughey, the actor who once played a tanned advertising executive in How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days took on a role that requires a few more pounds and a lot less hair. The dad who never quite looked like a dad (save for that time he wore — and defended — the fanny pack), truly perfected his dadbod for the filming of Gold in New York City. Matthew plays Kenny Wells, a balding businessman who ventures to Indonesia with a geologist, played by Edgar Ramirez, in search of international gold.
McConaughey has no problem changing his weight for a role; he famously dropped thirty-eight pounds to play Ron Woodroof in Dallas Buyers Club, for which he won an Oscar. According to the DailyMail, though, the actor's wider waist is the result of a fat suit, in addition to a prosthetic nose and false teeth. This is oddly reassuring news.
