Bridget is back, and pregnant. A Twitter account belonging to the UK branch of Universal Pictures recently announced that filming has began for the third installment of the romantic comedy starring Renée Zellweger. The tweet also included an image of the actress on set, wearing a chunky off-white sweater while clutching an iPad, something the two previous Bridget Jones movies never had.
So far, we know that Patrick Dempsey will play one of Bridget's love interest for the film, as he recently confirmed the news on his Instagram account. He posted an image of himself, umbrella-clad at Pinewood Studios in England. His caption declared, "Renée and Colin are an absolute joy to work with!" and later added, "I really like it here!" So yes, Colin Firth is on board to play Mark Darcy once again.
Production for the upcoming film, titled Bridget Jones's Baby, began almost 11 years after the most recent flick Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason, and is expected to hit theaters September 2016.
