The Duchess of Cambridge is — kind of — coming to Broadway. King Charles III, a play based on the English monarchy, was so successful in the United Kingdom, that its cast members are being shipped off to New York to continue its run. Fictional versions of Prince William and Prince Harry will also take the stage in the theatrical production on Broadway starting November 1st.
Star Trek Beyond actress Lydia Wilson will play Kate Middleton, as her father-in-law takes the throne after the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II. The extremely excited 31-year-old certainly fits the part, as she told InStyle that she's "completely obsessed" with Kate. To study up for the role, she spent hours watching Kate's interviews, revealing that the Duchess has "actually been like some kind of awesome big sister I never had." Wilson also admitted that her attempt to "walk in [Kate's] shoes" has transformed her into a lady. Talk about a dream role.
