Chrissy Teigen’s Baby Bump Receives Soft Pat from John Legend

Turns out, it's not just pregnant famous women who have perfected the art of the casual-yet-loving red carpet uterus pat: their husbands have, too! Before last night's Shining A Light concert for progress on race in Los Angeles, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend walked the red carpet and posed for a series of photographs. For a few of them, that involved John Legend softly patting his wife's baby bump.

What is John telling his wife and/or unborn child with such a delicate touch? "You are safe under my hands, which have been made buff from years of piano fitness," or maybe "Take my talent, baby, via osmosis." Who knows! A touch can say a thousand things!

Despite appearances, no, Chrissy Teigen hasn't gotten a pregnancy haircut — she's just wearing it in a ponytail. And though you can't quite see the bump in a straight-on photograph, here it is in all its glory:
