Architecting a sexy look for holiday party season is a tall order. Namely because it's cold outside, and baring skin is the opposite of staying warm. Enter the sheer blouse; an ideal way to do a dressed up look while remaining covered up.
The fall runways were packed with sheer blouses, which popped up in transparent, chiffon shirts at Rodarte and on silk turtlenecks with plunging necklines at Altuzarra. While Oscar de la Renta went the romantic route with see-through and layers of ruffles, Alexander Wang kept it dark and mysterious with tiny, peekaboo details on long-sleeved black tops.
For your own purposes, consider styling & Other Stories's high-neck lace top (slide 10, above) under a relaxed moto jacket for a casual-cool party, or pair Artizia's floral burnout tank (slide 12) with a pair of dressy, wide-leg trousers for a formal, but unexpected, look. Shop these, and 10 more, in the gallery above.
