If there is anything people are taught about Winter, it is that it's the season of dark, darker, and darkest colors. Bright greens, reds, corals, and blues are strictly for Summer only, for some arbitrary reason pertaining to horticulture. Alas, your dress sense must reflect the death of every single flower out there.

The Academy award-winning Star Wars actress and general ray of Kenyan sunshine, Lupita Nyong'o doesn't care for your rules one single bit. Lupita donned the usual dark requirements of Winter, such as a large black wide brimmed hat, a black skirt, a black lace scarf, black suede pointed toe flats, black Dior So Real sunglasses, and heaven forbid! Black pantyhose.

Being the cool and carefree person she is, she give the rules a hard nudge in the stomach. Who says you can't wear brights in the Winter? Lupine protested this by wearing a green fisherman cable knit sweater and a bright blue small Givenchy Nightingale tote.
