Last night marked the fifth annual Wall Street Journal Innovator Awards at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. There hasn't been much reporting on the ceremony — who is an innovator by the Wall Street Journal's standards? I guess we'll never know.
A more important issue at hand was the action on the red carpet. No, there were not any mani cams or Giuliana Rancics to make misguided racist comments or ask what stars were wearing. Instead, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie graced the red carpet as they promoted their upcoming tragic '70s European cinema-inspired film By the Sea. Another veteran actor who attended the event was Robert De Niro, who is also a longtime friend of the couple.
Fresh from playing an intern and not really understanding what was going on, De Niro glammed up and was rewarded with a kiss from Angelina Jolie. The shock on De Niro's face should have been enough to indicate that he needed to sit down, but [jokingly] jealous of the attention his wife was giving to another man, Brad Pitt joined in for the world's most awkward-yet-brilliant three-way kiss.
