Earlier this year, America's Next Top Model announced that its current season, its 22nd, would be its last. However, there's a chance that the show could live on in a slightly different form, Deadline reports. And we mean just ever so slightly, as Tyra Banks and ANTM's showrunner and executive producer Ken Mok have been shopping around a show entitled Top Model.
Producers are currently looking for a new home for the franchise, and Top Model could end up on cable or a streaming service like Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon. The idea for this new show only came about after ANTM announced that this would be its last season. According to Deadline, producers received a lot of interest from networks that wanted to continue the series.
When it was announced the show was wrapping up, Banks wrote to fans on Instagram, "Thinking #ANTM #cycle22 should be our last cycle. Yeah, I truly believe it's time." However, Banks's may have changed her mind since it doesn't sound like she'd be charged with hosting duties for the potential reboot. Deadline reports she would continue in an executive producer capacity.
