Gucci Names Jared Leto the Face of Its New Campaign, Gives Him Reins to Snapchat

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Jared Leto is now using his talent (plus, his incredible and ever-changing hair) to promote the Gucci Guilty fragrance. The actor has been named the new face of the label's fragrance, taking over for former Gucci stars Chris Evans and Evan Rachel Wood.

To celebrate the partnership, Leto has taken over Gucci's Snapchat account and for the next three days will take fans on-location for his shoot with the brand in Venice, Italy, according to Fashionista. Fashion's rising star, Gucci designer Alessandro Michele, will also be there directing the shoot.

In the meantime, Leto is bringing his pink-hair weirdness to the platform. He hasn't had his hands on the wheel for very long but has already made his mark with shots of artsy fruit, a dance routine in what appears to be his pajamas, his Gucci loafers, lion rings, and a zany drawn-on self-portrait. Find the fun on Snapchat at @Gucci.

Take a look at some of the snaps to go out so far.
