While America's royal family seem to have all but abandoned the idea of an annual Christmas card, at least those in the United Kingdom are holding up their end of the bargain. Today, Kensington Palace released Prince William and Kate Middleton's Christmas family portrait. It is very, very cute.
On Instagram, Kensington Palace captioned the photo: "The Duke and Duchess are hugely appreciative of all the warm messages they have received about their family this year and are very much looking forward to their first Christmas as a family of four."
Despite Prince George's adorable knee-high socks, Prince William looking lovingly on, and Kate Middleton's new hair, however, the cutest part of the photo is that Princess Charlottes tiny pink shoe appear to have fallen off. Mirror also notes that "in a telltale sign he may have needed a little bit of persuading to get into the picture, is George's red toy train." Hey, whatever works.
