VFiles is adding a new category to its crowdsourced fashion show. The entry form for VFiles Runway just opened today, and this go-around, there's a competition for creators of wearable technology.
"So far most of the wearable tech we are seeing is health related: heart rate monitors, blood pressure sensors and of course activity calibrators. We are excited to put a real fashion take on wearable tech, bring clothes to life and use technology as another dimension of self expression," a press release from the social media/ecommerce platform reads.
A team of mentors will select designers, models, photographers, stylists, hair and makeup artists and now wearable tech creators for the runway show. VFiles is once again slated to kick off New York Fashion Week on February 10th. Click here to read more about how to enter the competition, which closes December 31st.
VFiles is also pushing their own new fashion tech collab, with VFiles_XO. It's a partnership with fashion technology company XO and the plan is to work together to create a ready to wear line.
