Much like the Fourth of July, Labor Day weekend, Halloween, and really any occasion at which the singular goal is fun, New Year's Eve often isn't. But that's okay, because even shiny, happy celebrities share your existential dread around what to do on the last night of the year!

During an appearance on The Graham Norton Show that airs on December 31st, Jennifer Lawrence told the host and guest Eddie Redmayne that she "really hates" the holiday, according to E!. She explains:

Turns out, she also shares your solution to avoiding repeatedly terrible New Year's Eves: keep expectations Dead Sea–levels low.
