Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

It has been almost a week since Prince Harry's participation in The Great Polo Fall of 2015 because after all, Prince Harry is a very real lad like any other lad who just wants to play Polo. In an attempt to embody a more rugged look (or whatever else his aim might be), Prince Harry has been seen with a fiery beard attached to his face, matching his equally fiery hair. Someone call the fire department.

He has been trialling the beard at all sorts of events, whether it's the Royal Variety Show in London, where he managed to look super dapper, or during a game of soccer-slash-football, where his beard didn't manage to score a single goal, or today, when he hung out with South African President Jacob Zuma and one of his six wives. Harry and Zuma sat down on fancy chairs and chatted about something, before smiling with each other and posing for a handshake. How regal.
