Moschino's moved on from Powerpuff Girls and is now putting Super Mario characters on pricey sweaters and bucket bags. Fashionista reports that the Moschino x Super Mario line, also known as Super Moschino, will hit stores and Moschino's site on December 5th.
The project is a collaboration between Nintendo and Moschino to celebrate the 30th anniversary of Super Mario. Moschino promises that the line will be adorned with images of Luigi, Princess Peach, coins, stars, and mushrooms. In the preview photos, Mario and the gang appear on knit sweaters, T-shirts, backpacks, circle bags, and bucket bags. The line will also include wallets and belts. No price points for Super Machino items are available yet. Here's hoping that there is some sort of Mario Kart 64 reference in there somewhere.
Add Super Mario to the list of Jeremy Scott's pop-culture, cartoon-y riffs. Asides from Powerpuff Girls, Moschino's turned to Looney Tunes and SpongeBob for inspiration.
