Uzo Aduba Singing in 'The Wiz Live' Was Glorious

Uzo Aduba is perhaps best known for her role on Orange Is the New Black as Suzanne "Crazy Eyes" Warren, a (mostly) non-singing inmate at Litchfield Penitentiary. But in tonight's production of The Wiz Live, Uzo Aduba played the literal opposite of that.

Not only is her character, Glinda the Good Witch, a beloved figure in Oz, but she also sings. A lot. Really, really well. Though her talent shouldn't come as a surprise to her fans (Uzo studied classical voice at Boston University and performed on Broadway early in her career), it only takes these six seconds to fully convince anyone who ever doubted it: Uzo Aduba can sing.
