Today, Glamour UK announced the cover star of their February issue Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and boy, does she have some stuff to say accompanied with some gorgeous photos!
In a preview released by Glamour online, Huntington-Whiteley revealed that she has hopes and dreams for another career path just like the rest of us mere mortals: "I'd always wanted to design. I'm certain that's where I'd be now even if I hadn't modelled." She made her design debut in collaboration with British high street brand Marks and Spencer a couple years ago, designing a lingerie collection.
Rosie has a world-famous boyfriend and is famous herself in the fashion world, but "I wouldn't say I have a lot of A-list friends... I get nervous around famous people." But they're just like you and me, Rosie!
She also feels her branding isn't as strong as younger models and worries about that. "I've always been aware that modelling was going to be a fleeting moment... I started looking at the models a generation ahead of me, and I saw a lot of these women turning themselves into brands. There have definitely been times in my life when I've been like, 'Oh God, I wish I knew Elle Macpherson well enough to pick up the phone to call her!'"
Oh, and Jason Statham won't let her gender household chores. "I get told off for saying '[taking the trash out is] a man's job!' And he goes, 'Well then, ironing's a woman's job.'"
