Shopping site Lyst turned all its global search and sales data into a handy infographic to commemorate 2015 in fashion trends. The team at Lyst also took social media mentions, page views, "wishlysting," and active browsing behavior into account, and the result is a list of 50 most-wanted styles from Birkenstock sandals to Fendi bag bugs and Dior "So Real" sunglasses.
Here are some fascinating shopping stats from Lyst's data:
For every Mansur Gavriel bucket bag that went on sale, 288 people tried to buy it. (Just like last year!)
Searches for Kiini crochet bikinis increased by 822% year over year.
There were 135,000 searches for culottes in February.
Athleisure was a top-selling category all year.
Peasant tops made it into the top 10 search terms in July.
Searches for Tibi’s off-the-shoulder tunic top increased 108% during New York Fashion Week.
Chloe’s Faye bag is clicked on every three minutes.
