The time has come to no longer think of One Direction as the band best known for saccharine guilty pleasures and sobbing teenage fans. It appears we are entering an era in which One Direction is synonymous with badass things like contentious band member departures, scandalous out-of-wedlock pregnancies, mysterious songs that are definitely about noted chill-haver Taylor Swift, and now, televised tattoos.
Last night on The Late Late Show with James Corden, the four remaining Directions and their host played tattoo roulette. This is a game that is exactly what it sounds like: While a tattoo artist stood by, each of them chose boxes that either read "tattoo" or "safe." Harry Styles ended up picking the "tattoo" box, which meant he immediately had to get the words "Late Late" tattooed on the inside of his arm.
Once again, Harry Styles is a badass.
