Longchamp is taking Bed Bath & Beyond to court over knockoffs that "are identical in appearance" to the brand's Le Pliage handbag, The Fashion Law reports. Earlier this month, Longchamp filed a trademark infringement lawsuit in New York federal court alleging losses of more than $1 million over the sale of the fake bags.
According to The Fashion Law, the lawsuit claims that defendants Bed Bath & Beyond, Laila Rowe, and Capelli New York's copycat bags incorporated Le Pliage's distinctive features. That means the knockoffs feature Longchamp's trademarked trapezoid shape, front leather flap with snap, leather trim, and other similar details.
