Nordstrom is betting heavily on its off-price Rack stores to drive revenue and growth in the upcoming years. According to a recent earnings call covered here, Nordstrom plans to operate 300 Nordstrom Rack stores by 2020 and it's already planning for 27 new locations in 2015, some of which will be opening by the end of March. Comparatively, the retailer has only planned to open four regular Nordstrom locations in the US and two in Canada this year. If all goes according to plan, Nordstrom will operate 194 Rack stores by the end of 2015.
