The New York Post has been thoroughly chronicling the rat infestation at Vogue's One World Trace Center offices, and now their sources inside the magazine have clued the paper in on a different, just as insidious problem. Every single day at 4pm, someone pops a bag of popcorn in the microwave and the buttery smell is very offensive to the mag's staffers.
"All of the Vogue team is trying to figure out who is doing it so we can ask that person to stop," a source tells the paper.
Beyond the daily popcorn popping, all food smells seem to be a problem now that Vogue shares two floors and a kitchen with Architectural Digest. "People make popcorn and barbecued food. There are high-end clothes and clients coming in. We don’t want it to smell like food," the Vogue source said.
Other complaints include the lack of nail salons and lunch spots near Condé Nast headquarters, delivery issues, and chilly office temperatures. "It’s freezing in the Vogue offices on the 25th and 26th floors. All our workers wear fur all of the time. And we all have gloves on in the office," the tipster said.
But hey, at least the Condé Nast cafeteria opened this month and started serving coffee, so no one has to drink Flavia packets anymore. Don't forget to Instagram that cup of Condé cafeteria coffee, though.
