Surgeons Thank J.Lo, Kim Kardashian for the Rise in Butt Implants

Butt implants are surging in popularity across the US, and it's largely because of celebrities. According to data released yesterday from the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, there's been a 98% increase in butt implants in the past year, Yahoo News reports. And butt lifts increased by 44% in the last year.

Blame it on the Year of the Butt, with so many butt moments in pop culture in 2014. President of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons Dr. Scott Glasberg told Yahoo News: "Media, television, and celebrities like J.Lo and Kim Kardashian are driving the increase. The butt is in." Some surgeons won't perform butt implant surgeries, however, because of the danger of displacement of the implant and other problems.
