Hillary Clinton is a serious yogi. That's one thing the public has learned from Clinton's Secretary of State private email account debacle. She revealed in a press conference yesterday that she deleted emails from her private account that were personal in nature, including correspondence about her "yoga routines."
The Washington Post's Emily Heil tried to track down private yoga instructors in Washington who might've taught Clinton and sent her yoga coaching, but no one would talk. The humanizing aspect of the yoga emails might be the only positive takeaway for Clinton. Democratic strategist Joe Trippi tells the Washington Post that a yoga practice makes her seem "more relatable."
"Yoga is to 2016 is what jogging was to, like, 1990," he said, explaining that voters saw themselves when they saw Bill Clinton or George W. Bush jogging. "It’s the same thing now with yoga, for women in particular."
