how is it legal for someone to "quote" someone and publish it if in fact you never said what was quoted.— Kendall Jenner (@KendallJenner) March 18, 2015
Shame on US Weekly for making up quotes. I NEVER said those things. I never spoke to them.— Kendall Jenner (@KendallJenner) March 18, 2015
It turns out Kendall Jenner did not "break her silence" to Us Weekly, regarding her father's transition into a woman. The tabloid allegedly misquoted Jenner, claiming she told them in an exclusive interview, "He's a wonderful man. And just because he's changing shoes now, so to speak, doesn't make him less wonderful. I will always love my dad, whether he's a man or a woman."
Update: Us Weekly has officially retracted the online-only story, sincerely apologizing to Kendall and her family. The tabloid explains that the interview was allegedly conducted by a freelancer at the taping of Saturday night's Bieber Roast. Although the freelancer stands by the interview, Us Weekly editors admit that there are "concerns about the veracity of this interview and the circumstances under which it was obtained."
