E-commerce shop Revolve just acquired Lovers + Friends, one of its best-selling brands, as well as three other labels. Bloomberg reports that Revolve bought the company Alliance Apparel, which also owns Tularosa, NBD, and soon-to-launch brand Raye.
Revolve will bring all these brands in-house, and can now reach out to the labels to fillgaps in its offerings—like if the site needs more maxi-dresses. "It'll allow us to have a stronger pipeline of product," Michael Mente, Revolve co-founder and co-chief executive officer, told Bloomberg. The labels, which are currently sold at other retailers like Shopbop, will operate mostly autonomously, with guidance and instructions on strategy from Revolve.
