Amazon is interested in buying luxury retail e-commerce site Net-A-Porter. According to WWD, the two brands are currently engaged in "ongoing talks." Analysts believe Net-A-Porter could be valued at up to $2.19 billion.

Amazon has wanted to get into the luxury market for years, and acquiring Net-A-Porter would give the hulking online seller instant fashion world credibility. Amazon declined to comment to WWD about the possible sale, and a Net-A-Porter spokesperson similarly declined to comment to Vogue UK.
