L'Oreal has named model Soo Joo Park the brand's first ever Asian-American global spokesperson. Park joins the ranks of Jennifer Lopez, Doutzen Kroes, and Lara Stone, and, as she told, she's not taking her responsibilities lightly. "I really couldn't ask for a better present," Park tells (The brand announced the partnership on her birthday.) "I like that they really take pride in their spokespeople. They have a personal relationship with all the people that they choose to represent the brand."

As for going down in history as the brand's first Asian-American global spokesperson, Park is appreciative but doesn't want to let it define her. "It's such an honor, but I also think the world is getting smaller and the globalization of commerce is influencing industries like beauty and fashion," Park says. "So to be the first to represent a global brand is a huge honor. But I don't want to be just that one thing; I want to be the global ambassador."
