Rather than a traditional interview, Shape let April cover star Olivia Wilde pen her own profile. In the essay, the mom of 11 months opens up about her post-baby figure, claiming that she is "softer than I've ever been," saying, "in fact, I'm softer than I've ever been, including that unfortunate semester in high school when I simultaneously discovered Krispy Kreme and pot." The accompanying photos tell a different tale, but the actress explains that away, writing:
The photos of me in this magazine have been generously constructed to show my best angles, and I assure you, good lighting has been warmly embraced. The truth is, I'm a mother, and I look like one.
