In the six and a half hours since the Apple Watch became available for pre-order, all of the Sport editions (the cheapest watch model) are already wiped out. You can still pre-order watches, but they won't ship until June. Likewise, many of the regular Apple Watches aren't shipping for four to six weeks now, instead of the original April 24th launch date.
Even the most expensive watches, the Apple Watch Edition, are flying off the virtual shelves. Both the $12,000 watch with a rose gold case and white sport band and the $15,000 watch with a yellow gold case and black classic buckle won't ship until June. According to Cnet, the pushed-back summer shipping dates started appearing on the website within an hour of the watches going on pre-sale.
