Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Uniqlo will open new stores in Seattle, Denver, and Northern Virginia as part of its US expansion. According to reports, a 13,000-square-foot store will open at Seattle's Bellevue Collection this fall and a 10,000-square-foot store will open in Virginia at Tysons Corner Center. In spring 2016, a 22,000-square-foot Uniqlo store will open at The Denver Pavilions.

"We’re setting up our expansion throughout the country," Uniqlo USA CEO Larry Meyer said. Uniqlo is already prepping a 60,000-square-foot Chicago flagship on Michigan Avenue set to open in the fall, a Boston flagship at Faneuil Hall set to open this summer, and two stores are slated to open in Toronto in 2016. Uniqlo currently has 39 stores open across the US.
